Orlando F. Cabrera Colorado is a qualified Attorney at Law graduated from Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) with honors (Magna cum Laude) and specialized in International Law. He wrote the thesis “The Global Protection to Foreign Investment, Limits to International Investment Agreements.” Likewise, he complemented his education in the Université de Montréal in Canada with several courses such as: International Commerce Transactions, Cyberspace Law, Intellectual Property, and Biological Sciences Law among others.
He obtained a certificate in Law and Globalization from the Mexican Supreme Court. As well he participated in various seminars of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Bar Association and the World Bank as regards Investment Arbitration, Promotion of Investment and International Contracts.
Mr. Cabrera practice is devoted to domestic and international arbitration proceedings under the rules of the ICC and the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM), civil and commercial litigation, structuring international commercial transactions and contracts, corporate law and infrastructure projects. He has act as consultant of pharmaceutical and automotive companies.
Mr. Cabrera is member of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum, Australasian Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA), the London Court of International Arbitration’s Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit DIS 40, Centre Belge d’Arbitrage et Médiation (CEPANI) and the Young Arbitrators CAM Forum.
