Graduate in Law from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana with a thesis entitled “Relativity of the subject under trial in civil matters”; he received the merit medal for achieving the highest grade average in his generation. He studied a Master's Degree in Law with Specialization in Foreign Commerce in the Postgraduate Study Division of the School of Law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Has a Master’s Degree in High Management from IPADE, at the Universidad Panamericana.

He is specialized on Amparo and Constitutional Law (Judicial Specialization Institute in the Supreme Justice Court of the Nation); Administrative Law and North American Law (Universidad Panamericana); Civil and Commercial Law (Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City); Stock Market Law (Mexican Stock Exchange). He has participated in courses on taxes as well as International Commercial Arbitrations at the Escuela Libre de Derecho; as well as in Community Law at the University of Salamance, Spain.

He currently works as head partner in the Energy and Infrastructure area. He has provided counsel to government and corporate clients in matters of oil, gas, petro-chemistry, electricity, renewable energy, roads, telecommunications, transportation and water; as well as in the financing of projects, national and international public tenders, concessions and service projects.

In addition, he has represented national and foreign clients in important procedures, arbitrations and other alternative mechanisms for the solution of controversies (Conciliation, Mediation, Independent Experts, Contractual technical Disputes, Dispute Boards).

He worked as an intern at Ibáñez y Asociados, as a Judicial Officer in the Sixth District Court in Administrative Matters in Mexico City, performing projects on interlocutory and underlying convictions; and as an attorney at Rodríguez Botello y Hartasánchez.

He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Private and Compared international Law, the Mexican Attorney Bar Association, the National corporate Attorney Association  (ANADE), the CCI Arbitration Commission and Potentia, Private Energy and Petroleum Club.

He collaborated in the Amparo Law considered and agreed, published by the Superior Justice Court in Mexico City. He has taught classes on Amparo at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, in Civil Law II at the Universidad Tecnológica de México and Corporate Law in the Specialization Institute for Executives, and has offered many conferences regarding Energy Law, Public Contracts and Arbitration.
